About Me

My name is Ella Gilboa, a graphic designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York.

I have over seven years of experience as a graphic designer. I have worked both as an in-house and freelance graphic designer, working alone, with a team and managing projects. I have had the pleasure of working with various types of clients on projects of different scales, from small independent musicians playing their first gigs to international companies revamping their branding.

I received my BFA in fine art from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 2006 and attended Tel Aviv University's Multi-disciplinary Program for the Arts Master's program from 2009 to 2011. My design aesthetic is deeply engaged with the history of art and design and is informed by my practice as an artist and musician.

I specialize in print media from concept to production. I am extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of print production and have designed and produced catalogs, books, brochures, identity branding, materials, packaging, flyers, posters and more. Though my passion is for print I also build and design websites and online media (html and css).

I am currently interested in working on new projects particularly in cultural educational areas. I believe that a concept turned into a successful and interesting graphic aesthetic has the potential of influencing, changing and inspiring our everyday lives. I look forward to working with arts organizations, educational institutions and initiatives and social and community organizations.

I am also available to tutor individuals or small groups. Instruction includes both technical aspects of graphic design as well as discussions on the history of art and engagement with conceptual questions concerning the nature of design.

I invite you to explore my online portfolio and to contact me with any questions about my work.
